[UNFINISHED]
Twilight is a strange time. Two girls, Kara and Abby, get to find that out the hard way.
There is an old abandoned house sitting atop a hill at a street intersection, just down from where they lived. There has always been talk of strange things going on around it, but they never paid it any attention. They loved to take walks, most of the time passing by there. But never at twilight.
Abby checked her watch. Five o’clock, great, she thought. I’m late. She came up to Kara’s house and knocked on the door. “Hey,” Kara said, answering it. “You ready to do the dare?” Abby asked her. She nodded. “Lets go.” They left, heading for the old house. They got there in a few minutes. Abby looked at it. It was a very large, red house. Farther down the hill was an eerie-looking shed with it’s door standing wide open, darkness being the only thing shown inside. Creepy, she thought.
They both understood the dare. They had to spend exactly one hour inside the old, rickety house. It had sounded easy at the time they had committed, but it was getting harder every second. “Well, lets go. The sooner we get in the sooner we can leave.” Abby said. She glanced around at the darkness settling around them, zipped up her warm-up jacket a little more, and started to lead their way in.
Once they were in she though, So far, so good. But just as she thought that, Kara got a text message. Leave, never come back, the screen read. Kara gulped. Abby checked her watch. She had wondered a little bit away from Kara. “Forty-five minutes left,” she said. Not hearing an answer, she whipped around to where Kara had been standing . “K-Kara?” she asked, then caught her breathe. Fear shown in her eyes as she saw Kara in a crumpled heap. She let out a sigh of relief as she found she had only fainted. Then she heard it. The laughter.
